There are days until Christmas
The Bridgewater Festival of Lights is a free Christmas Light light display with an
animated walk through village. What started out as a small personal home
Christmas display
has now become a major attraction in The Bridgewater, South Shore area of
Massachusetts. Although it is not the largest or brightest it has the
distinction of be able to walk through it and you can get close to the
displays. If that's not enough, The Bridgewater and Hanson Lions Clubs
come in on the weekends bringing Santa, Free Hot Coffee, Hot Chocolate,
Popcorn and other goodies. When Santa is here you can get quality
pictures for a small fee. Check out the events page to see which groups are
coming and when.
Precast Outdoor Fireplaces
of East Bridgewater has donated the use of a Large
Precast Fireplace to help keep Santa Warm!

Enos Landscape and Larry's Lawncare
of Bridgewater, we will use
a lot of it!!!!!
 Your hosts Dale and Cindy Higgins had no idea that this would become such a large display. It now takes a crew several months to put every thing up (and then down again). We have burnt out several power transformers, the lines coming in to the house have fried and the neighborhood has been left in darkness for hours but the neighbors don't complain. People started leaving donations to help offset the cost of the display , but Dale had other ideas for that money. Instead he choose to give it to charity but as the amounts grew we decided to form Star Light Charities Inc. to disperse all donations and to rely on sponsors to help pay for the upkeep and operation of the Festival. When charitable groups come in they receive a large portion of the donations plus they have the opportunity to sell Santa Pictures ($5.00) and run raffles. In return they supply some support people and of course bring in the free goodies!! You will also find containers located at the front of the Festival of Lights display for Toys and DRY OR CAN FOOD. The toys go to Toys for Tots and the food to the Hanson Food Pantry both are great organizations. The food pantry operates all year making sure that no one has to go hungry.
